Data Archiver - Admin pushed policy vs. user selected only

Ringcentral archiver administrative policy change

Today there is no way for a company admin to enforce policy where we require the archiving of extension data (voice mail messages, SMS, TEXT).   That function is limited to only each user's preference to enable it or not vs. it being pushed by company policy as Call Recordings are currently pushed via the RingCentral Archiver tool.

A typical use case scenario explaining how your business would use the feature

We would enforce this data retention policy without allowing a user to opt-out of doing it.

Benefit of such feature

Company risk policies can be easily enforced.  Without this capability company data retention policies cannot be enforced.

Include any related case number if applicable


Number of Users and/or Digital Lines

~ 20 in our case, but this impacts every business that needs to archive data from ringcentral and enforce a policy.

I honestly find it kind of crazy we even need to request this.
We have the exact same concern as a financial firm. But this really has nothing to do with that. All companies should archive data..period.
RC please consider also expanding the option from just SFTP to FTPS which is what so many other storage technologies require.

Our firm's compliance requirements for both SMS and fax would be satisfied if we could enforce archiving of both. Our users should not be able to opt out of either.
