I just downloaded a few Call Recordings from my Call Log. What is the breakdown of the File Name Format?

Once you've downloaded the Call Recording you will receive an MP3 File in the above format.

Here is the breakdown of what each section is:

Date (YYMMDD) - Time (HHMMSS) _ Extension Number/Calling Number _ Device Type _ Traffic Direction (inbound or outbound) _ Recording Type (Auto or On Demand) _ Internal Reference Number

So the above call occurred on 10/03/2017 at 11:59:52 am. It was an outbound call initiated by extension 110 via their softphone and Automatic Call Recording was enabled.

hi,

Usually when I search for calls I search by telephone number, and some recordings do show the telephone numbers and I am able to find all the recordings. But other recordings do not show the phone number in the file name, but instead show that internal reference number. How can I match the phone number to the internal reference number? I really don't know how to use that internal reference number.

thanks

thank you, It'd be great if that number was part of the call log in the excel file, so we can match it or search for it . thanks

Hey Glen,

I wanted to let you know that the internal reference number doesn't have any correlation with the telephone number that was received/dialed. It is a way for you, once the call recording has been downloaded, to differentiate it between other call recordings that may have similar information.

Hi,,

I think that ID should be the phone number, since the phone number is not listed in some of the records.

That way I could always search through the records with the guarantee that I will find the phone number. As it is now, sometime the records have the phone number sometimes they don't.

Hi GLEN,

That could have something to do with what view you are in when you download the Call Log/Recordings. I'll do some testing but it might be different with Simple vs. Detailed view.
