A recent Microsoft update to the 32-bit Microsoft Office 2016 created a condition which can crash the RingCentral desktop application during the login. If you have experienced such a crash, please uninstall the desktop app and install the version 9.1.6.

Please note, version
9.1.6 is a stable solution.

It is possible that this is related to something else going on in your computer. Have you looked at your Windows event-viewer to see what else is being logged during the time when the crash occurs? It seems unlikely that it would be just the RingCentral app hanging.

I work in IT, so yes i have checked all the obvious things. I got so frustrated i reloaded my laptop with a fresh install of Windows 10. Support acknowledged there was a problem 2 months ago, but seems like they still have not fixed it or updated me on the progress of the fix.
