I have several extensions that receive voicemail and texts. The voicemails all go into my message center. Is there a way to label the voicemail and texts to indicate what number they came from?

Hi Michael,

Can you clarify your question?  Are you wanting to see the sender's info, or wanting to see the RingCentral number it was forwarded from?

I would like to have a colored dot before the message to indicate what extension it came from. I need the number phone from on the message indicator so that I know what number to call back.

Thanks.

Hi Michael, Just to make sure we are on the same page with each other, are you referring to the "Messages" page when you log into your account online?

Yes. I normally use the phone app. So, it would be the messages "all" page. I know that most email programs that offer a universal inbox allow for color coding the different addresses so you can tell which account received the email. I am looking for that same option for the voicemail inbox.

Thanks.

Ok. Thanks.  I'll change this from a Question topic to an "Idea" topic for our Product Team to review.

So, as currently constituted, the option does not exist?

Correct, it does not.

I will concur with this idea.  Each extension within a system allows for the selection of the recipient extension.  The utility of this functionality is probably best illustrated via example...

I have a system set up with multiple message-only extensions, and each extension represents a direct marketing response from ads placed in different sources under different campaigns.  In order for me to track which responses are coming in on which campaign from which source, I currently have to log into each individual extension and check the messages from the dashboard there.

I know it is possible to have all messages from all extensions sent to the default admin extension (extension "0"), and I can easily hear all messages that come in through the various extensions when I do, but I have no way of readily telling which message(s) came in through which extension(s).  When tracking responses, the ability to do this from a central location would be of great convenience.

Just my two cents!
