Polycom 500; when I responded to a similar question, I had no idea it would impact one of my customers.  They rely heavily on Direct to VM; it is 6 steps to change the transfer button to blind and back again for them. So My question is:  Has anyone stumbled on any code to transfer to VM; Kaitlin provided me with a few codes to try to no avail.

Hi Ronda,

If your simple question is how to send a call directly to voice there are a couple of options available.

If you put a *0 in front of the extension when transferring, it will be sent directly to the voice mail of that user.

You could also create a set of voice mail only extensions if that would work out better.

Depending on the number of users and how you expect to use it I would think the first option would be the easiest.

Hope this helps

theres some star (*) codes to use but its still touch and go and rather clunky in my opinion, why there isnt a feature that can be programmed or some other work around than trasnfering via star codes i dont know.

08-07-2017 Hi Ronda - I have another few workaround ideas you might wish to try. For folks who need to rely heavily on straight to voicemail there would be two other ways to manage this - setting up a Messages Only extension and have the message box send the notifications to the person who would be formerly receiving those messages live on their extension.  :::OR:::  Set a custom call schedule (rule) in the CALL HANDLING > Advanced area   See Attached Example --- you can configure  dates and hours very granularly
