Currently, if someone is on an active call, their status will show "busy" when you search for that user in the phone tab in the RC client.

This doesn't make a lot of sense because the user can also set themselves as "busy" manually and not be on the phone. If someone is on an active call, their status should show "in active call" not "busy".

Hello Alex Taguchi

Are you referring to what you see on a desk phone?

If you use the HUD screen on the Softphone application, you can tell the true status.  If someone goes to Busy/DND, the HUD screen will display "Busy".  If they are on a call, it will display "Active Call" like in the image below.

If you are not familiar with the HUD feature, you'll need to set it up first.   Desktop App: What is HUD?

I could use the HUD, but that requires adding everyone in the company roster to that. If I do that, then what's the point of the HUD versus the desk phone tab in the RC client.

Perhaps  I'm not understanding your question.  What are you referring to by "desk phone tab in the RC client"?

Can you include a screenshot, or more details please?
