DND phone button should stop calls from queue / group

I have a Polycom 550 desk phone. It has a DND button on it.

When I enable DND via this button, any calls to my direct extension go directly to v-mail as if I am not available. This is good.

I'm also in a calling group. When I enable DND via this button, (no soft phone or cell phone logged in for me), calls to my group are still "routed" to my phone if everyone else in the group is busy. So instead of a caller getting to leave a message right away, they have to wait in the ringing loop until it times out. This is NOT good.

Why does the DND work for direct calls, but not groups?

I should not have to enable/disable DND from the web site for it to affect my group status.

I think DND should be universal across all devices- phones, softphones, cell phone apps, etc.

Agreed. DND (or even just hitting the "Ignore" button) should block the calls from ALL sources, not just ones that come in via direct extension. Our support team has trouble logging information into our system because the softphone keeps popping up (or the deskphone keeps ringing), even while using DND or hitting ignore.
