financial business with multiple offices within different area codes
to call out using a different caller ID without needing to log in to the web interface, changing it, then needing to remember to log in later (or per call) to change it back again.
would really like the ability to have User A call her own phone in City B and to flip over to call out from that number. we used to provide that value-added service through asterisk. the caller calls one of their other numbers and punches in a code, waits 3 seconds and is provided with an active dial tone to make calls from that other phone number. the only downside was needing to manually enter the phone number once presented with the dial tone.
the benefit of such a feature would be to call your clients in City B or City C, etc. and present yourself using the number they have for you (stored in their phone). easy for them to redial to reach you. calling from virtual offices.
