External Speed Dial on Yealink T42S Disappears with Phone Reset

I can program the Yealink T426 phone with external speed dial numbers through the Features / DSS function. However, the external speed dial settings disappear when the phone resets. Apparently the database the phone references after a reset does not "remember" external speed dial settings. Can this be remedied?

Hey Mark, what information is being added to the speed dials? What are you trying to accomplish with these speed dials? We use the DDS for our Presence feature.

Thanks for your quick response.  I program the side buttons to call outside numbers with one-push speed dialing. Nothing fancier than that. This option is available through the menu/DSS/features.. (On reading the presence documentation, I now understand this function, and see that it is very useful, however I do not need it for my present situation.) I would like to be able to input the speed diallng function, and have it stay there (until I decide to change it). Is this possible?  Thanks again...   Mark

Hey Mark,

Ah, I see! Unfortunately, we don't support External Speed Dials, which is why when the phone reboots the info is wiped out. We do have an open feature request for this, though, feel free to vote on it!
