fax directly from chrome extension or google drive

I have a US account and am in the healthcare business; a chiropractor to be specific.

I love the integration with Google and the Chrome browser and just installed the RingCentral Chrome extension.

I would like to fax directly from the extension or from Google Drive.

All of our patient records are stored digitally and we often need to send a fax to an insurance company in order to authorize treatment for a patient.  Once we scan the documents, we would fax them from the Chrome browser or Google Drive.

The benefit is that it would speed up the process since we would not need to compose an email or log into RingCentral.com.

I have 3 users and 3 digital lines.

Thank you :)

Hi! Thank you for your idea. Fax from RingCentral for Google extension is a feature on our backlog. Before it's implemented, we'd suggest you try our RingCentral Fax add-on for Google Docs if your documents are saved as Google Docs.

I'd like to ask for a timeline to implemented.  We cannot use the web portal since the web app that we use for our electronic medical record looks for installed printers. Since RC web portal for faxing requires the document to be saved first, then faxed, we are limited because Chromebooks don't have internal storage. So I now have to add a thumbdrive to save the document as a .pdf, then open the web portal, and then fax from there. Too many steps. Since RC is pushing Updox on us I would speculate that this will not be a priority.

Hi Tony, there is no ETA for faxing from the Chrome Extension - I just verified with the Product Team. Have you looked at the RC Fax for Google Docs like Rose mentioned?
