I do exactly what you are asking about. I keep my covers in my cloud account and download to pdf when I'm ready to send. I choose no cover sheet and add any other attachments when I send, drag and drop. A little different on the mobile app, again download to pdf, this time to documents on the mobile app, then send as a fax with it and any other attachments making sure to choose the no cover sheet option. I do this every morning 3 or 4 times no issues at all. Good luck.

As Randy stated, this is already possible.  If you don't have your own template, you can use the downloadable one that RingCentral offers. Instructions here: How can I customize, or remove fields from the fax cover sheet?

Or,  If you use the method Randy mentions, you can either build your own template and just drag'n drop it into the application, which is very easy.  If you don't have the time or knowledge to build your own you can find plenty of free Word and/or Excel fax templates on the web.  Here's one such site:  http://www.freefaxcoversheets.net/

FYI: We are NOT recommending this specific site. Use your own discretion when downloading anything off the web as there is always risk for malware.

Right it won't appear on the website Unfortunately to do exactly what you want, it's not possible. Saving the custom cover to your desktop or cloud storage and attaching it to the email is going to be the closest thing available at this time.

Is there any way to have the Sender Name field not show up in the default cover pages?  Because every fax we send from the email puts my name on the cover page because I am the one who created the account.  I only want them showing the Sender Company name.

You can create a custom cover, and just remove those fields.  Or are you perhaps referring to the very top/header of the fax page like in this image?  If so, that can not be removed.

Again, you can't create a custom cover page for email faxes.  We don't use the desktop app.  So if we do use them then every fax sent via email is sent from my name, unless I turn off the coverpages altogether.  This is a major flaw with the Ring Central service.  The workaround of turning off the automatic cover pages for email faxes and having to use a customized PDF of a cover page you make on your own that is uploaded to the cloud is not a real solution.  Ring Central needs to make the default cover pages for email faxes customizable like the Desktop App ones are.  And make them include the number of pages field, which apparently for some dumb reason you cannot include on a custom cover page.  This is some really poor design for something that should be so simple and easy to incorporate.

RingCentral support has a remedy for the Account Holder name always appearing in the sender name fields on the cover pages: remove your account name.  I replaced mine with the company name and it works.  Still crappy that you cannot customize the email coverpages, but no longer all showing they come from me, which was the big problem.  See below:

"Hi George,

To remove your name from the faxes you are sending you need to delete your name from the account and change it with your Company's name or Simply replace your name with a dot (.)

Go to Settings > Account info (First name: change it with a dot (.) Last name : change it with a dot (.) > Save.

Please let me know if this works!

Thank you!

Randy's answer is very useful. And I would like to recommend two sites for people who need to do a fax cover sheet.
http://formswift.com/ -- create your own fax cover sheet
http://www.formsbirds.com/fax-cover-sheet -- fax cover templates

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Is there no way to upload a custom cover page for email only faxing that includes....

I have the basic 500 fax account.  We don't do a ton of faxing at my work, so we decided to ditch the land line and old faxing and go cloud based faxing.  I setup my account and everything seems great so far, except the cover pages.  We will not be using the desktop app it is too complicated, it is much easier to send faxes via email and we have a group email account that will receive the faxes and attachments.  This is a pretty easy setup.

My issues are this.  ALL the default cover pages used in the email faxing are not editable, and include the Sender Name, which it pulls from the Ring Central account so thus is my name.  I do not want the name showing, just the Sender Company and address, phone, etc.  Every fax seems to come from me even though I have allowed others to send faxes from email.  Secondly, the default cover pages are ugly, so I would like to custom make my own and include my company logo.  There is no way to do this on the website options.  I had to download the desktop App, which is cumbersome if you only use for faxing, and then I could customize a cover page using Word that was to my liking, but it does not appear in the options for email faxing from the website, just in the desktop app only.  Furthermore, it does not appear to support a field for number of pages, which makes the customized cover sheet useless.  I was on which chat support for an hour only to have them tell me I have to use a default sheet to have the number of pages field shown.

This is simple stuff.  Why can this not be done?  I may have to cancel and go with another service, which is a shame, because I like most everything else.
