FEATURE REQUEST - Allow Admin to change the Paging tone in RC system

We do not like the default tone that plays when doing a page within the Ring Central System. We are not happy that RC has a 25 phone restriction either, but that's another issue. Many complaints on that startling page tone- it annoys our employees. I have found a very pleasant page tone in .wav file format and would like to import it (like we do greetings and other audio files) but it is not an option anywhere. Seems this is an oversight? Can you please add the capability for us to import a different audio file to play as the paging tone? This would be another hook to keeping us happy with RC. If we could get this feature added, we would get the impression our requests were taken seriously. Thanks in advance.

You should consider getting a Cyberdata page server.  They are around $500USD or less and can do custom tones and scheduled tones and also can do multicast paging to most phones like Polycom allowing you to page more than 25 phones.

You can even add it to your RC account without paying for another user.

That's what we wound up purchasing. We actually have two paging adapters. One for overhead paging/fire alarm and a second one for tornado alert. We don't use Ring central for any of this but rather use multicast instead.

You can do custom tones in the Cyberdata, but that won't change the RingCentral beep

I ditto this request. The default ring tone on page groups is absolutely untenable. It is obnoxiously loud. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us simply suppress it, so that we can control the paging tone from the Cyberdata adapter.

As it stands, I have implemented overhead paging as a limited extension. Problem with that solution is there's no way to block external calls, so we occasionally get a telemarketer on our overhead paging speakers.

It is unthinkable that the "best" VoIP solution in the business doesn't let you control something as basic as the overhead paging tone, and that the default tone you're stuck with is obnoxiously loud.

I too would like to add my voice to those regarding the inability to change the default tone. We have purchased Cyberdata's page server and I have changed the tones within cyberdata to no avail. We still get the Ring Central default tone. PLEASE ALLOW YOUR CUSTOMERS THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT PAGING TONE.
