Feature Request - Desktop Application Doesn't Come Up When There is an Incoming Call

We are looking for a feature that would allow us to set a setting that makes the RingCentral desktop application not pop up the window when an incoming call is coming through, but notify in another way (maybe on Windows 10, pop up a notification in notification area, or the minimized application blinks, etc.).
The desktop application popping up can be interrupting, especially if you're working on a document or something else.

I had this same issue. And it would also steal focus.  I fixed it by having the call show in the client instead of a popup window.  Softphone app > Settings > Calls > Incoming > disable "Display incoming call in standalone window.   Hope that helps.

Hi Brandon,
I noticed that setting on the desktop app, but I also noticed that when a call comes in, it doesn't show any other indication that there is a call coming in. So if you don't have a headset on, you wouldn't know that it's ringing.
Thanks!

Ah I see.   I keep my softphone visible at all times.  I'll add a vote, an option for a windows 10 alert would be nice for sure.

Nicole, if it helps, you can go into the preferences and set the ringer to use the PC speakers instead of ringing through the headphones. This way you'll hear the calls come in even without wearing your headset.

Thanks Mike! I'll look into this as an option!

Also I realize this may not work for everyone, but there's now telephony functionality in the RingCentral Glip app. You'll notice a different style of pop-up alert when you answer calls via Glip. You might give this a try.  We'd love to have your feedback as we move more and more functionality into the Glip application.

The Glip app has a better variety of configurations available.
