Feature request for disabling call logs for user extentions

There should be a feature to disable call Log access to users because they have permissions to even delete call logs and we cannot monitor their calls

Hey there Wasim. This can actually be done by using roles and only giving the user read access to the call logs so they can't be deleted. Under users, got to roles and setup a custom role then apply to the user and you'll be good to go.

Hello Bill,

You can do this by following the instructions for creating a Custom Role. Instead of choosing the Standard (International) Role to base your new role on, you can choose an Admin Role (except the Super Admin Role) and make it so they can only view the call log :)

Hi Saadet,

Yes I have followed this article for our standard users, and it has made it so that they only have read access and indeed visibility of their own call log.

However, we have manager type users that require access to other users call logs, which I understand can only be given by the "Company Call Log" permission. Once this permission is granted, these managers have full control of the log... I want these managers to only have read access on the log.

I do apologize, I tested multiple scenarios and apparently even with the Custom Role edited it won't display the call logs :(

However, I did some further testing and discovered that if you create a User Group the Manager of that Group can see other user's call logs but cannot make changes :)
