It would be beneficial to allow a company number to forward directly to an external number without having to attach it to a digital line or messing with call handling settings.
For example, we have an 866 number that we use on our marketing materials, however, when a customer calls that number it just forwards the call to another 800 number for one of our vendors.
We'd like to be able to setup that forward directly from the Company Phone Numbers page in RC instead of attaching the 866 number to a line, then configuring the forward. See the attached image for what I'm referring to.
This would greatly simplify forwarding for numbers that we own but don't need to receive calls on (we have several). Also, helps reduce costs associated with having a separate digital line for each number.
