Get Rid of Glip Tab on the Mobile App

The UI changes in the updated version of the app are terrible. I understand you are trying to promote Glip, but at what expense? Get rid of that tab and bring back recent calls tab. You replaced the most useful feature with a page that just links to another app. Terrible decision that shows you don't care about your customers. Glip users have the separate app. The RC app is for making calls and texts. Bring back the old UI and get rid of Glip or at least allow users to change the tabs. Spend your mobile app development time on making it actually work and add MMS.

How many bad (1 star) reviews do you have to get in the App Store before you listen to your customers? You have now had two updates since Glip tab was added and you still keep forcing it on us.

Seriously considering Dialpad as an alternative. They are focused on calls/text, have MMS, and an app that actually works. Plus, they are 1/4 the price.

Thought I was the only person that felt like this, I wish it was out of my way as well and I didn't have to maneuver all around to monitor my business while I am out of the office.

Looking at all the reviews in the App Store, it seems like everyone agrees with us. I use Ring Central to call, fax, and text. I think everyone that needs internal group chat, etc has that in their existing enterprise software. My company does. Offer Glip as a standalone app, exactly as it is. In the phone app, Glip is out of place and in the way.

(for iphone)
Click the keypad at the bottom of the screen, then the clock next to what looks like a dialpad and there's your recent calls. I use glip and the RC app for calling for my business, it just took finding where it was moved to for me to make sure I knew if calls were missed.

I just want to let you all know that our product team is aware of your concerns. There's already discussion and a change in the road-map but it'll take a little more time to get implemented.

Another update today and Glip is still front and center. Insanity! I can't wait to see more one star reviews roll in. What is the timeframe for getting this self-serving (care less about what your customers think) mess resolved?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can I change the layout of the mobile App? I don't want Glip on the bottom I want....

It would be great if we can choose the default open page when ring central opens so we do not have to see glip.

i'm going to assume this is going to start to blend together because the apps have started to become 1 in the same. the glip app can now make calls and do everything the RC Phone app did. The Glip app is now called RingCentral. Looks to me that the app will become 1 sole app for everything and not separated apps. Maybe they will work totally independent of each other, time will tell.

It would be great it was all 1 app it would take up less space on my device as I have about 3 apps on there now.
I think they may still keep the separate apps maybe for restricted users or maybe the new app will make options go away for the restricted users.
If it is all going to one app it would be great if we can choose which page comes up first so we can be more productive and not have to always go searching through the menu to find things we need at start up of the app.

I have never used GLIP and have no interest, my staff and I communicate just fine via email or text. I use the RC app on my Iphone a lot and have not touched the new Ringcentral tab on the right that it wants you to install. I have not done this because I have see other posts where some users claim that they lost all their saved contacts once they did that and I rely heavily on the saved contacts that I have,
