I think if someone wants to add you on glip (ringcentral) they should have to be accepted by the other party. Long story short someone has added me on glip who I have not given my information to and somehow they just magically appeared on my "people" tab on glip 1 day after a missed call to them and only leaving my office number as contact info.

I have this happen too. I found at least one caller was also a RingCentral user. I think they just called me and I have never communicated with them before. It does not seem like this should be happening.

This was happening to us as well, and we determined that it happened any time an incoming caller happened to also be a RingCentral user. I believe we fixed the issue by turning off the "Allow off-domain co-workers" setting under Administration - Company Settings. Hope that helps!

I found it but then customers whom I've told to add me on glip would go away correct? I don't want to lose my actual customers just not let people who randomly add me or have info somehow to add me without my permission.

Hi Everyone,
I've looped in a Glip Product Engineer, and they are currently looking into this. I'll let you know when I get more info. Thanks for reporting this!

Hi All - the issue should now be resolved (external missed calls from other RC subscribers no longer generate connections). Please let us know if you ever see anything like this again. Thanks for reporting these critical issues! We take them very seriously.
