Glip - company-wide content search?

I am having a problem with searching notes in Glip. I am a super admin. I created a note within the auto-created company team which is shared with everyone by default. From my login, I can search a word within the note and search hits show fine. Others in the company are standard (international) users and the same search comes up empty for them. Why can't other users search for info within a note and have hit results like I can? Is it because they don't have enough permission somewhere, and if so, what do I turn on? Is it because I created it and that blocks all others from searching even though it is in an essentially "public" team (company wise), which would make no sense? Anyone have any thoughts or answers on this?
