* Organize your Glip rooms by creating folders.
  1. If a team is currently flagged as "Favorite" you will need to uncheck/remove it, then the Team can be moved to a folder.
  2. Click on the gear icon > Select Team Folder
  3. Create the Team Folder Name.

* Once the Team Folder is created, the teams that are moved to it will show up in the folder.

* Click on the folder to expand/collapse the folders.

Just letting you all know we release a new version of Glip for Android last night. You'll want to update your app as this new version performs much better! Be sure to eave a review in the Google play store and let us know what you think.

It looks like this feature has been removed from accounts created after a certain date (we are new and don't have access to folders).  Is that feature already being re-developed?  Any ETA on release?

We would like to have a way to group our teams, maybe as simple as being able to add additional groups in the same format as the existing 'Teams' and move the individual teams between those.  Also, having the ability to minimize those main groups would also be useful.

Hello Nate,

Sorry for the inconvenience! Currently our Glip team is working on improving this feature for all accounts. Until that time it is not being rolled out to new accounts. We haven't been given a solid ETA on this release but please know that we are working on it and plan to offer it to all :) Once I receive more information I will be sure to update this thread!

Hey Kat!

Sorry, no new updates :( I believe our Glip Team is working on some other features that need immediate attention at the moment.

We are a new user to RingCentral and are evaluating using Glip with our clients but the main issue I see so far is that there is no way to organize projects underneath teams.  This folder functionality looked to be the answer until I noticed that it had been removed from the program.  Please add this type of functionality so that we can setup a single client relationship as a team and then create multiple projects or folders underneath each client.  This would make the collaboration a whole lot easier than having separate teams for each project.  Thanks!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Team Folder Missing for New Accounts.

Team Folder feature on Glip has been removed for new accounts while RingCentral works on enhancements for that feature. Do we have an ETA when it will be reintroduced?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled What happened to Team Folders?.

There are multiple guides/sites explaining how to add teams to folders. That option does not seem to exist anymore.

Correct, at some point that feature was phased out.  Please follow and like this chain to help increase the visibility of this request!  I'm needing something like folders to help us organize this tool, seems like a lot of people would benefit from that.

Seriously. If Ringcentral added Team folders back and user-group management, I would have no complaints about the Ringcentral/Glip Application.

Hi, this is a necessary action. Do we have any idea how soon this will be corrected? seems that the first post requesting this was 7 months ago.

Hey Everyone, the Product Team is still working on this - no ETA at this time. I'll keep you posted when I hear more!

I had created a support ticket about this before coming across the topic on the community site. The official response on the ticket states,

"At this time there is no plan to bring back the feature, so I would recommend that you consider submitting a feature request for the function to be brought back.

I was not able to find any information as to why the feature was removed meaning that it was most likely not highly used by a majority of our customers so it was removed to allow functions for more popular requests to be added to the application."

Case #07580036

I sincerely hope that this is not accurate. Now we are getting conflicting information.

Hey Spoonhandle,

Our Product Team is still looking into creating a better way to organize things within Glip using a folder system. They haven't given me much info on it yet but they will let me know when they have more details on what it's going to look like

In addition to adding folders back, are there any plans on allowing some type of user-groups so that groups can be added to teams, instead of having to manage individual team members within every team separately?

Also, the ability to manage notifications for specific teams instead of a global On/Off for all Team notifications would be beneficial.

Hey Sean,

No plans for User Groups at the moment.

Regarding your second question, could you provide more info? Right now there are a few settings you can manage for each team individually.

Since my previous comment I have found how to manage individual team notifications. :)

For large organizations having to manage team members for every individual team is a pain in the butt. Having user groups ("Departments" maybe) that could be added/removed from teams instead of having to add/remove individual users would make managing teams MUCH easier.
