- If a team is currently flagged as "Favorite" you will need to uncheck/remove it, then the Team can be moved to a folder.
- Click on the gear icon > Select Team Folder
- Create the Team Folder Name.

* Once the Team Folder is created, the teams that are moved to it will show up in the folder.

* Click on the folder to expand/collapse the folders.

We would like to have a way to group our teams, maybe as simple as being able to add additional groups in the same format as the existing 'Teams' and move the individual teams between those. Also, having the ability to minimize those main groups would also be useful.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Currently our Glip team is working on improving this feature for all accounts. Until that time it is not being rolled out to new accounts. We haven't been given a solid ETA on this release but please know that we are working on it and plan to offer it to all :) Once I receive more information I will be sure to update this thread!

Do you have an update on this yet? I'm hoping to show interest so that it might get done sooner. *wink*
Thank you!

Sorry, no new updates :( I believe our Glip Team is working on some other features that need immediate attention at the moment.

Team Folder feature on Glip has been removed for new accounts while RingCentral works on enhancements for that feature. Do we have an ETA when it will be reintroduced?

There are multiple guides/sites explaining how to add teams to folders. That option does not seem to exist anymore.

"At this time there is no plan to bring back the feature, so I would recommend that you consider submitting a feature request for the function to be brought back.
I was not able to find any information as to why the feature was removed meaning that it was most likely not highly used by a majority of our customers so it was removed to allow functions for more popular requests to be added to the application."

I sincerely hope that this is not accurate. Now we are getting conflicting information.

Our Product Team is still looking into creating a better way to organize things within Glip using a folder system. They haven't given me much info on it yet but they will let me know when they have more details on what it's going to look like

Also, the ability to manage notifications for specific teams instead of a global On/Off for all Team notifications would be beneficial.

No plans for User Groups at the moment.
Regarding your second question, could you provide more info? Right now there are a few settings you can manage for each team individually.

For large organizations having to manage team members for every individual team is a pain in the butt. Having user groups ("Departments" maybe) that could be added/removed from teams instead of having to add/remove individual users would make managing teams MUCH easier.

Right now, here are some things that can help organize in the interim:
1) Assign a 'color' to the team via settings
2) Favorite teams, and arrange them in the order you want, perhaps by color
3) Take advantage of the ability to 'collapse' sections (People, Teams, Groups, Favorites) to visually declutter the left rail
