Glip Teams - Auto Expiration?

We have used groups in O365 (and dabbling in Teams). We are also exploring Glip for more usage. I am curious if there is a way to auto expire/delete teams after a period of time. With O365 Groups we had a large proliferation of groups over time that started to become a little chaotic. We are not a huge enterprise but do have nearly 2,000 employees and the numbers of “test groups” and others can get quite large. An example is you may have an employee leave and all the members of the group abandoned the group and it is still hanging out. I was researching on RingCentral and with going with the HIPAA compliance forces deletion of content after 30/60 days I believe.

Microsoft helped solve the chaos by enabling administrators to turn on a self policing feature that emails the group owner, asks them to manually “renew” the group, and if they don’t it is deleted in 30 days.

Just curious if I am missing something? How does everyone / does anyone manage old, abandoned, or otherwise orphaned groups?

Hi Neil, unfortunately there is no way to auto-remove a team - you would have to be the Team Admin in order to delete the group. I have switched this to a feature request for our Product Team to look at.
