Google calendar notifications being deleted by ring central Chrome Extension

Using the new google g-suite calendar interface, when you use the ring central chrome extension, it deletes any default notifications that exist on a cal event.

  1. Create a cal event and add some notifications. As seen in screenshot, I have two notifications for 10 and 5 min before the meeting.
  2. Now save the event.
  3. Open the same event and click the ring central add meeting button.
  4. Notice how the meeting is added to the description field, but also the notifications are deleted.
This has caused people at our company to miss meetings or show up late because the notifications they were expecting never displayed. This seems like a bug that will effect many users. 

Can you please address and let us know of an ETA for a fix?

We are in the process of Beta Testing version 4.0 which has fixed the issue. If you create a case, ask to be routed to our Integrations Team who can get you enrolled in the beta and get this issue fixed for you.

Hello Julien,

I haven't been given any information regarding when the Beta Testing for version 4.0 will be over and public. Beta Tests can take some time depending upon what happens. I'd suggest creating a case and asking to be involved in the beta group, as I mentioned to Shayla above.
