Just noticed that the most recent update to the RingCentral Google Apps Chrome Extension is disabling all the calendar functions located in the calender's left panel.

This applies to extension version 2.6.3 SIP 18, released 6/16/16, and Chrome's latest version: 51.0.2704.103 m (64-bit).

I tried all the typical troubleshooting steps, emptied the cache, deleted and reinstalled the extension, logged out, logged in, reset the authorizations, etc.

The only way to resolve this and get my calendar's left panel tools working again was to disable the extension.

I've opened a case on this, and am interested if anyone else has experienced the same thing?

THANKS.

William - Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for telling us what troubleshooting steps you've already taken. I've located your case.

What operating system are you running?

I'm interested to see if others are also having the same issue.

Kim,

For what it's worth, I am running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit, with the same Chrome version and extension version as William.

I am not seeing the same issue he is. The meeting and conference tools in the left panel do bring me to the Google calendar in order to schedule them.

The only difference I see is that I am running it on a 32 bit system.

Here's my case # 04732539.

I'm on Windows 7 64 w/ all updates installed. I'm also seeing this on 4 different computers. All on are W 7 64 pro, except one which is 32 bit, home version. Logged in or not, the very presence of the loaded extension is enough to cause the problem.

THANKS.

All:

We are experiencing this issue as well since Wednesday / Thursday. It has been reported in the Google Forums as well.

It seems the only way to Unfreeze your calendar is to uninstall the RingCentral chrome app until this is fixed.

Our integrations team is currently looking into this.  If you have a RingCentral Support Case open, please provide me with the case number.

I also had this issue pop up today for one of my users. He's on a Mac, running 10.11.5 with the latest version of Chrome for Mac installed. Once the RC extension was disabled, calendar functionality returned to normal.

Yes, we're also having the same issue. It's like the left-click button is disabled for the entire left panel of the calendar. I also tried clearing the cache, and was directed by Google Support to turn off all the extensions and add them back, one by one. The RingCentral extension was the one causing the issue. interestingly, the calendar *did* work properly in incognito mode.

I will instruct staff to disable the Chrome extension, until the issue is resolved. We're all running Windows 10 and Chrome Version 51.0.2704.103 m.
