Make Holiday (Advanced) Rules reoccur on a yearly or monthly basis.

Hello, I have created rules under the "Company Call Handling" Section for our yearly Holiday schedule. How or can you set it up to happen on a yearly basis automatically based on the holiday?

Hello Caleb,

At this time, the only option is that you have to select the day that the holiday falls on and that changes for some holidays. So as you select the next year, you have to go to the month and select the weekday that the holiday falls on. However, you can request a feature enhancement and as the demand grows, the more weight and higher priority it will have. I cannot say if or when it will be modified but it is recommended that you do request it.

Below are the steps to set and one advanced rule to cover the same date or date range on a yearly basic. You can set one rule to cover the same date for up to 10 years.

These rules are created in your Auto Receptionist. Sign into your account-->Select "Auto Receptionist"-->Select "Company Call Handling"-->Select "Advanced" in the top right hand corner of the screen-->Select "Add Rule"-->Select "Date and/or Time" as the condition for the rule-->Press "Next"-->Select "Specific Data Range"-->Select the day or days and the time you want to apply the rule-->Select "Add"-->Once added go back up to the From and To date ranges and add the same date range for the next year and then select "Add". Once all the dates are added select "Next" and choose how you want calls to be handled on the dates set.

Issue is that the first and last Saturday of the month we are closed on Saturday and Open on Friday on those weeks, on other weeks Saturday is Open and Friday is closed. How can this be configured in the auto receptionist / company hours. We can not manually have to remember to set the office to closed on Friday or Saturday depending the week because that will be forgotton. We are a medical office we can not have patients leave messages thinking we are open and we are actually closed since that is a risk to their health.--Customer is requesting to have our system automatically changed the schedule every month.Customer is also asking for a specific timeline for his request.

Hi Bruinings,  Please see comments from Phil and Nathan above. There's currently not an automated way to do this.  The only option is to manually schedule the rules as Nathan explains.
