Out going text. As an admin, I am receiving olny a copy of a text that we receive to our ringcentral number, however, I would like to receive a copy of the text that my employees sending out as well.

US account for an Insurance Agent and his staff.
Need to document all communications with clients on our company tracking software. The SMS texts sent through the Mobile app should be tracked so transferring them to a send able file, accessing them, through the website, some way of saving these vital customer conversations is necessary. As a team we need to be able to see what is happening in any client communications to be able to address their needs, especially if someone is out sick. Right now they are captive on my phone. Heaven forbid it gets stolen, lost, wiped! What back up would we have?
Please help in providing some answer/solution. Thank you

Feature Request prioritization is a bit complicated....unfortunately. The more votes the better but there's no "set" number. We send regular reports to our Product Team of the Feature Requests on the Community - it's up to them to implement them.

I would really like to see a report on inbound/outbound text messages. I'm trying to gauge traffic volume, whether clients or employees are texting, determine nature of calls, whether more training needs to be done for employees, resetting of expectations of clients needs to be done, and then have objective data to determine how involved my after hours employees need to be so I can fairly compensate them. At this point, it's somewhat of a shot in the dark. Thanks for your help and hope to hear from RC soon!

As I and others have asked before, it would be so helpful to see where in the feature request cycle a FR is. The status system of the community explicitly supports this. It should be used.

I've shared this (along with other Report related requests) with the specific Product Manager who is managing Reporting Features. In fact, that team is looking for some feedback regarding Reports right now :) But this is not on the roadmap that I know of.
We do our best to update the Status of requests when we learn anything about them. Under Consideration means that it is being considered but no ETA quite yet. Planned means it has made it to the roadmap (sometimes we have a hard ETA but usually we have an estimated time frame).

We provide phone answsering service and would use text messaging to relay the information to our clients. We need to be able to bill our clients for the time we spend on text messaging so I would need to be able to compile a text message log to bill our clients appropriately. The log should be in csv format so that I can group the data and I should be able to retrieve the log base on a range of dates. Basically what I need is the exact same thing as the call log except it is for text messaging.

We are a call center for a medical team and we have employees who send appt. confirmations using Ring Central. We have about 20 users and multiple digital lines using the Softphone feature. Our U.S. Ring Central account needs the feature to see text messages in the "Call Log" feature of Ring Central to make sure our employees are making these text message reminders. This is very important to us and need to make this happen ASAP to stay with RingCentral. We just need to be able to see that someone sent a text message in a call log.

Businesses are the expected customer of this system, yet the reporting functionality is very limited.
We want to be able to run reports, like any other phone provider, on our users. In addition to the number of inbound and outbound, as well as incoming and destination numbers for phone calls, why can't we run a report to see how many inbound and outbound SMS messages there are for our users, as well as the destination or incoming numbers? Seems like a basic functionality.

iPlum (iplum.com) offers SMS (text) message logging and archiving now instead of considering adding it as a feature for 2 years like RC is still doing. It is so obvious just by reading this thread that customers need this feature...and needed it long ago. Have been a RC customer for almost 2 years and started seriously consider leaving after about the 4th week. My experience is they were super attentive until we signed up and now I can't even get our account manager to return e-mails. Iplum on the other hand has been super responsive to us, a tiny customer and even implemented a feature that was a deal breaker for us within two weeks of making the request. Can't wait till we can completely move over to Iplum and leave RC.

Are you referring to the log report, as in your subsequent post? If so, the log report does not identify the phone numbers for text messages (sent or received). It is limited to voice and fax calls.
