As a test, I tried to send a fax from Microsoft Office Word with my Windows 7 laptop. It said you must first choose an internet fax provider so I said, Okay; picked Ring Central from the list, and signed in. Now what do I do?

Hi Patricia, do you have the call controller installed?

I am guessing not because you would see the ring central option in Word to send a fax

I hope this helps

Chuck is correct - you need to install our free softphone (from your RC account, click the Tools tab and select Softphone) to be able to send faxes from Microsoft Office. Once the softphone is installed, it will display as a printer when you click Ctrl+P within Word. (It will be labeled "RingCentral Internet Fax", I think.) Just "print" to this "printer" and the softphone will open a new-fax window.

Problem is that I get the WPFT532 error that cannot convert.

HI Carrie, can you please copy and paste the full error code here?  Also, what step or task triggers the error code?

Perhaps the printer driver didn't install correctly or became corrupted. Have you tried to uninstall and re-install the Softphone?
