How can I setup the main company greeting to accommodate for "For spanish press 1" if user does not dial 1, then gives the options of "For tech support press 2" for "XYZ press 3".

Now, if user press 1 for spanish, I want them to have the announcer gives them the "Para soporte tecnico presione 2" for "XYZ presione 3" , options and department numbers will be the same for both languages, the difference is the message in a different language.

Makes sense?.

It looks like this could be the answer, but then I would have to pay for more extensions?, currently I have the proffesional service (trial while testing all this) with only 2 extensions, would a sub-menu will qualify as another extension then?

Hello CIC, You do not get charged for extensions just lines. For making menu options you could setup as many extensions as you need.

1 sales
2 marketing
3 support

Etc...

There is not additional charge.

I know you are on the professional package which is designed for Mobile professional.

Are you using mobile phones a lot in your business?

Hi Chuck, thanks for getting back with us,
We only have 4 phones, 3 mobiles, and a physical land line (stucked with comcast for 10 more month),

The plan is to have the call flow as follows,
"Thanks for calling CIC - - For spanish press 1" wait some seconds and then
Press 2 For Techsupport (This will ring to 2 mobiles)
Press 3 for Sales and Marketing (this will ring to 1 mobile and comcast line)

Now what we are trying to accomplish is that when people press 1 (for spanish) they will have the same exact 2 options above, but with the spanish voice, and the calls will be route to the same places as described above.

This is no problem at all. do you need assistance in setting this up? Do you have the recordings as a Wav File or are you going to just record from the phone. With the wave files they could be cleaned up with Audio software so the sound is clean and consistent.

Basically Extensions need to be setup for each option. There are a couple of special extension types like Message only extensions and announcement only extensions that can be used.

But you could do exactly what you described.

if you need to talk more specific about your needs, shoot me an e-mail

I could assist you in getting this setup.

Hi Chuck,
with your wording on that email I believe I was able to figure it out, this is what I did:

Create the main greeting, then have a "Department" created with "Announcement only" where I indicated in spanish to the caller what to do (press 1 for x, press 2 for xyz and 3 for bla) all in spanish, and once people did, it will send them to the previous department I created, I pretty much created the same departments with the greeting in spanish, so there are 2 Tech support departments, one is Tech Support and the other one is "Soporte Tecnico" :) and they both are routed to the same place,
Is not what you say is the way you say it :) !!!
Reading your last 2nd paragraph was when it clicked!, thanks again.

Last question on the trial and I can give this thread for closed, I sign up for the 300mns trial, but the thing got me into the 1000 mns trial, when I am ready to move, can I do the 300 instead?.
Thanks

Hi CIC, I am not sure about the trial and them moving to permanent. You will have to ask your sales person about that. I mostly deal with the Office unlimited so I am unfamiliar with the trials.

Sorry about that.

Good luck and I am glad I could assist.

Chuck
