HUD & Call Monitoring: Ability to hide or change status when monitoring calls.

I set up call monitoring for me to monitor admins that answer the phones randomly. But, anyone who has me on their HUD can see  that I am monitoring a call. That kind of defeats the purpose because I believe all of them have me on their HUD. Any way to not show when you are monitoring a call?

im assuming your talking about the softphone HUD right? im pretty sure you can set your status to a custom message or even invisible, i havent tested it myself or come across it before but if you change it to either of those id assume it would show one of them instead of your monitoring a call because, yes, they could then see and act differently upon knowing theyre being listened to.

Yes, I am talking about the softphone HUD. I did test it. I happened to be setting up a computer for another person and put myself on her HUD. Then I tried all of the settings. It didn't matter. If I was on a call, it showed in her HUD who I was on with, including call monitoring where it showed the extension I was connected to along with the number that that extension was on with. So that is how anyone who had me in their HUD would see I was call monitoring, if they could figure it out that is. But if they were like me, they would wonder about that, especially if it was their extension they saw at the time.

I agree with Rhonda, we need this feature in Ring Central. Today, two managers are training a new employee and we are monitoring his calls with HUD and the annoying beep is making him nervous.
