inbound call queue

UK account. Medical courier charity. We'd like an inbound ' call queue' so callers can be held in a queue until we answer. At peak times, we get lots of calls at certain times, rather than divert to voicemail, we'd like to hold the inbound caller in a queue and answer when the line becomes free. The inbound caller would hear a message like, "our lines are busy and you are being held in a queue. You are position x. Please hold for an operator" type of thing.  The beneft would be our hosptials would stress less knowing that we will get to them if they just hold. It would also save numerous call backs which invariably don't go well as callers leave incorrect details.
We only have two users.

I'm not sure if all platforms have this option but I know that RingCentral can do this. We have around 20 call queues (RC calls them Skills) and each one the customer can sit on hold for as long as they want. They have an option to request a call back and not lose their place in line... and we have it set up so if they abandon they are put in a queue to be automatically called back once the queue is cleared.

Hi Devane
What kind of package do you have?

We have the RingCentral (Incontact) Premium package. But the basic 'Essentials' package would have all the features you need.

Hey Gordon! Our Contact Center package does offer this functionality. However, if you're not interested, I would suggest leveraging the Interrupt Prompt in your Call Queue under Greeting & Hold Music - you can customize this and set how often it will occur
