I will keep posting on this every day until their "engineers" do something about this...This is ridiculous....Why can there not be an option to disable this function on a per client basis or at least give us the option to increase the time out.  This is really aggravating having to log in multiple times a day.

Hi Becky,

I own a small Development & Engineering group, and we use RingCentral for a portion of our primary telecom system.  I agree with your position on the need for this - but I can assure you (from implementing many similar systems/applications/programs in our line of work) that there is reasoning behind this decision.  Nothing such as this, is a result of "bugs".  This issue has "conference decision" written all over it, and the fact that your (and others') posts have not been answered, only suggests that RC feels the explanation unnecessary or counter-productive.  Two things are certain - the ability to make all people happy with the behavior of an app is wholly impossible, and nearly 95% of any user-base is unaware of the uses, purposes, scale, depth, needs, or environment, of any other users' experience.  In other words - the reasoning exists, and has been weighed - if only just not to/for you.  I hope this explanation will save you some time and stress, as you attempt to replicate your posts as often as you suggest.

As an alternative - you may wish to simply download the NEW "Desktop Application" for RingCentral.  I recall being introduced to RC's 'softphone' months back - but was sorely disappointed in function (however, others may think it's AWESOME, and work PERFECTLY for their needs - for whatever reason/purpose/etc), but this new desktop app is just the trick for us.  No time out, robust phone functions, etc.  So far, I find it very impressive, and perfectly fitting (even the 'long awaited' softphone "conferencing" capability!).  

It sounds to me like your users already have login access - and if that's the case, and 'login/account security' is not one of your concerns (remember that even if not used often, online access allows much more than just Ringout or Call Logs - many things that are not intended for people who "just need to use the phone") - this new release may be just what you need.  Here's the links:
