iOS app and pdf's

Can the PDF viewing capabilities be improved within the RC iOS app?  Issue specifically is this:

An editable PDF file has data entered on it and the PDF is then exported to the RingCentral app.  When previewing the PDF in the 'Documents' section in the RC app, the typed data is not there.  However, if the PDF is faxed or emailed (and opened in Adobe from the email), the data typed on the PDF renders fine.

This has been an issue since our company started using the RC app on our iOS devices.  We have several hundred users using both iPad's and iPhones with versions ranging from 9.3.5 to 11.

We would like to be able to fully view the PDF file in the RC app prior to emailing or faxing it.

Hi Robert.

I tested this with two different iPhones each having a different version of the RC app and you are correct. I was able to find a sample editable PDF online and I edited it in iOS using the Acrobat Reader app. I then shared the document with the RingCentral app where it didn't show the edited fields, but when I received the fax of the document everything showed fine.

I asked our Tier 3 techs who had not heard of this issue either. I would suggest opening a web case for this matter so that our support team can assist you in getting some logs and sending this case up for further investigation. I'm sorry about the inconvenience. You can click the button below to open a case.
