User Settings: customize email notification

We have configured Ring Central to send an email notification when a voice message is left.  However we would like to configure the subject line of the email that gets sent if possible.

What type of customization are you looking for ?

Rather than the phone number have it show the Ring Central username instead (or in addition).  If this could be done automatically that would be great, or if that is not possible, then have the subject text customizable when an email notification comes through from a particular phone line.

This would be especially helpful when you get a call from a blocked number. Maybe you need to change edit the title so you can find it later.

Our company needs a feature like this so we can automatically flag certain voicemail emails in SalesForce Desk to either Normal or Emergency status depending on where the voicemail is coming from. SalesForce wont flag or filter from contetns in the body of the email, only the subject line, so if we could customize the subject line depending on who the voicemail is to (Support or Emergency Support) we could flag the text "Emergency Support" and have it flagged properly in SalesForce Desk.

Not sure where I need to like, but this I agree it would be helpful to configure the email subject.  While the listed names are public record, for those companies that work in the medical space, it is good to disassociate the name from the subject as much as possible.  Is this a feature that ever got put in a backlog?  This is a particularly old thread.

When an fax notification is received it has a large amount of how to view the attached file (a signature, in a sense).

In our office setting, we have setup some of these eFaxes to go to an email (notification) because we do not need the Windows, Apple, or mobile apps as they are too convoluted for those users.

I would prefer either some settings to removed such items that mention the apps or to log into the website as they will not get or have that access. We don't need the users knowing that they can view it from other things outside of the email.

A simple, here is your fax including the following would be preferable:

  • From:
  • Received:

  • # of Pages:

  • To:

Nor do they need a link to the downloads.

We are a customer service business. It would be great if missed call email notifications would have "missed call" on subject line, instead of "new call". Even though it is also a new call, the important part is that it's a missed call. Having "missed call" on subject line would save time since the caller's phone number is also on the subject line. So, the RingCentral user would not even have to open the email to know what's going on.

My users are curious if there is a way to have the messaging set up to show the users name (if one of our RC Users ) instead of their number in the email that is sent out.

Currently, they have to look up on our directory who the number is for.

we need to have this feature just like efax is doing:

when sending fax to email. we would put important information in the subject line. so when we get a notification that the fax was successfully sent, we would need the same subject line included on the notification email. that way we are easily able to sort all fax sent according to each owner of the sent email to fax.

Full service wireless internet provider

A high level description of the product or feature being requested:
Business needs it for filtering voicemail per extension especially when they're using call queue and if a company has its own ticketing system. It will easier for the system to filter the notification.

Benefit of such feature:
It will be easier for them to know for example what type of customer called and and left a message if its a sales call, tech call or other type of call since the company normally used call queue to filter their inbound calls.

I have a US account.
I teach non-techies how to build their own websites in WordPress.

I would like to be able to customize the notification email that is emailed to me when I receive a new voice message.  We use the voicemail notification email that to email our students and one of them got confused by it referencing 'Glip'.  I would really like to be able to customize it so it only includes the information I want shown and the student to see.  I called Ring Central technical support and they said it is not customizable at this time.

I have 5 users and 1 line.

We rely on our email system for our users' voicemails.  When a new VM is sent to email the message is a generic RC message with RC logos, etc.  I would like to be able to customize the content of that message as well as use our company logo in place of the RC logo.

This needs to be more that just the subject line.  I would like to see the ability to customize the look and the body content of the emails also.
