When an associate is away from their desk and their phone is ringing off the hook is there any way for an admin to remotely set their extension to DND? Or is there a setting to where if an extension isn't answered and the call is sent to VM that the extension is automatically set to DND?
Your associate can turn their desk phone to DND if they will leave the desk, but in the case that they do not, you can login as the Administrator, go into >>call handling<< and turn their extension >>inactive<<. When they come back, you can turn it back on. This will send the calls to their voicemail. Of course, you would want to make sure that another phone takes calls.
The other option you have is that you can login as their extension and click on the little green circle icon at the top of the page and select the >>do not take any calls<<. When they come back, they can select the DND on their phone and turn it back on.
