IVR to text message with url to online form

Currently have a cell phone which is always in drive mode attached to an ivr that delivers a text message to a mobile url for a short form for a customer to fill out.  At this time I can only use text message form.  There are a few options with different urls id like to dispatch.  To do this I would need multiple cell phones with unique text message alerts.  Just seems silly that as good a system ring central is, this isnt available.

Say what?  I think you may be assuming a bit much that other people understand the details of what you are asking for.  What does, "a cell phone which is always in drive mode attached to an ivr that delivers a text message to a mobile url for a short form for a customer to fill out" mean exactly?  And what is the idea you are proposing?

To be more thorough let me explain my current situation.   We are a car buying company... At certain times of the day when our operators are not available, a caller has the option of pressing 1 to receive a free instant quote via text message or leave a message.  If the caller presses 1, that IVR directs a transfer to an extension that hits a cell phone set to drive mode which texts the customer back that link.

There should be a way to have a "drive like mode" setting on a user extension allowing automatic text responses.

Automatic Text Response has been requested on more than one occasion. The whole "driving mode" and form references were very confusing.

RingCentral does not currently have automatic text response functionality. As I mentioned, that has been requested on more than one occasion. If you have not yet tried the Zapier connectivity to RIngCentral for that feature, you might want to check www.zapier.com

I personally don't use it for that functionality as I don't need automatic text responses for my texts however I have seen where others have used it successfully. This URL will take you to that particular template once you have created an account (there are free accounts) or logged in if you already have an account.

The previously mentioned URL allows for an outbound SMS text from an inbound SMS text. Zapier also has a RingCentral "Zap" which will allow an outbound SMS text from an inbound missed call.

You may be able to do something with Zapier as Jan suggested, but really I doubt RC will offer this type of functionality anytime soon and if they do it would probably come through acquisition of an existing service provider and at an additional cost.

I do know there are many service that offer what you are describing and have various features like continued drop marketing and reporting, etc.  You may want to look into those as a step of from using the mobile phone.

Also, I wonder if you are taking about a voice call getting an SMS response or SMS<>SMS?  If the former, what do you do about callers that call from phones without SMS support like their home or office phones?

Good luck and let us know what you come up with.

Brandon, for those without sms or home phones they can just leave a message as stated.  Its just an option for those who are more computer savvy and want faster service.   The cell phone feature I have set up right now works really good.  Im looking automate pricing in different locations which would require different text messages hence why 1 cell phone wont work.  I appreciate everyone's help!   I will keep everyone posted.
