Current State it defaults to the beginning of the day, if you have a full calendar that is a lot of scrolling that is required. On the Outlook calendar dashboard it removes past tense to keep it current and on the calendar view there is an orange line to designate the current time.
Would also be useful if items that are over could be dropped a shade of grey to designate that they are over.
