RingCentral Meetings: Make the chime notification a default setting

1. Account type: U.S.
2. Business is a File-Management for Enterprise
3. We would like to make the "chime when attendees enter/exit meeting" default for all meeting types.
4. Sometimes we have customers that do not have the ability to join a video meeting with video or to take part in a meeting with anything but audio.
5. This way we could be notified when anyone joins/leaves the meeting for any reason at any time.

I agree but think this should be a setting that can be set by the user globally or by meeting.

This is really a show stopper for most companies and needs to be addressed ASAP. We have been using this service for over 2 years and have always been able to rely on a great product and great service. However this CHANGE is not acceptable and could actually cause harm to my users business as you can have uninvited or at least unknown guest on your call. Many of my customers use this application while on the road and dial in only so the current work around is just not possibly. Thanks

None of the numerous conference apps I've used have ever had a "stealth join" capability. Why would anyone ever want this? It has been disconcerting a few times on meetings where I say, "As soon as so-and-so joins we'll get started," to which I hear, "I'm here," from so-and-so. Un-intuitive and potentially the cause of some embarrassment or worse, particularly for those who re-use meetings which don't require a password. In this case, a totally unexpected/uninvited attendee could potentially stealth in and listen to the meeting until noticed in the participant list.

How is this still an issue? This is basic functionality that should be manageable for all meetings, not just on a per case basis and only in the desktop application.

This is pretty embarrassing for RingCentral. We've been using RingCentral for almost two years and have accounts for every employee across our entire company. One day the entry/exit chime just stopped working and nobody could figure out why.

I used to think RingCentral was an innovative company that listened to it's users and was constantly releasing new, solid features but whoever decided to change this chime feature has clearly never hosted a conference call in their entire lives. If I were to list requirements for a conference line, this would be among the first and most basic requirements. Moreover, the fact that their customers have been up in arms since last December and they still haven't committed to fixing this speaks volumes about the company and is leading us to start looking into other providers that wouldn't make such a careless mistake.
