Desktop App: allow user to drop out of a 3 way call without disconnecting other callers

We need to have a way to initiate a conference call and call two or three people, but then be able to drop of the call without it disconnecting those people (sort of like suspending that call) and leaving our line open to receive or make other calls. I have heard people say you need a T1 card for this or a PBX system, but I am not familiar with either and need some guidance on what to do. Important. It will not work for us having people call in and join a conference using a code. It has to be the done the way I explained above, See the example below...
1. A customer calls our office and says, I need to speak with my client, but my client does not speak English, he speaks German.
2. We, at our office tell the customer, let me place you on hold and I will call a German interpreter and your client and bring them on the line/conference.
3 We call the German interpreter and tell the customer, the interpreter is on the line, let me place you two on hold and now call your client.
4. We dial the client and bring him on the line and tell the customer and the interpreter, "okay, the client is on the line, please proceed with your conversation. 
5. Once the three start talking, we then hang up our line, but the three other parties, (our customer, his client and the German interpreter) continue talking and we are free to receive other calls and set up other conference calls the same way.
This is what we need to accomplish and I ask if anyone has a solution for this, whether it is using VOIP or another method.

I'm not sure what phone system you are using and what plan you are on but you may be able to call the interpreter and transfer them to your client.  Then transfer the customer to your client who would then join the 2 calls.  This can be very easily done using the Windows Desktop app. 

The other option and I haven't tested it is using the conference room number that each line is provided (depending on what plan you are on).  You may be able to transfer everyone into that conference room.

RC support or your account manager should be able to help you with this.

I just tested this on my Polycom VVX410 with a co-worker and on the Hardphone you can select "conference", combine the two calls, and disconnect and it should keep the 2 callers connected.  
However, on the Desktop App (Softphone) when you select Ends it will end the call for all callers.  

We'll submit this as a feature request to allow the Desktop App to allow this also.

While you are adding this feature request, maybe you could request the ability for the Polycom phone to be able to conference more than 2 callers.  Only way to do it now is via Desktop app,

I also have a customer asking for this feature. 
Case # 06479005. They have users that has deskphones and some using the desktop app so they want to have the process to be uniformed but it seems they cannot do it with the desktop app where they can leave the 2 lines still connected. I just hope that this can be added in the near future.
