We put in a ticket a year ago on this and it was swept under the rug.  I'm sure the new ticket I just submitted will get the same treatment.

When a caller enters option 1 or 2 in our system and goes into the queue, it makes them sit on hold for a minimum of one minute before they get to voice mail.  This if far too long for somebody to sit on hold.  I have all of our phones set to only ring 4 times, so what happens is they ring 4 times, then the ring 4 times again, then they ring a few more times before going to voice mail.

All they have to do is ad 5-10 second increments so instead of starting with 1 minute as the minimum, it would start with 5 or 10 seconds.  It would take any competent developer under a minute to make this adjustment and if I could see the source code for the site, I'm sure I could make the change in a few minutes and I'm not a professional developer.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to get this change made.

I totally agree.  Could we get at a 30 second hold time?

This has been an issue for me as well for year. I don't understand why Ringcentral doesn't address this issue. We need to have the option for shorter hold times. With clients needing instant gratification we need a way for them to quickly leave a message. This is hurting our business and we may need to switch to another provider if this is not addressed quickly.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled caller wait time.

When a incoming call comes the shortest time it allows for the call to be sent to voicemail is one minute this needs to have shorter options

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Need a way to send calls to voicemail from a queue in less than 1 minute..

We have a small office (2 phones) and they share a queue for an event line. If the phone rings the people in the office pick up quickly. If they step out it should go to voicemail. I would like it to only ring 3-4 times before going to voicemail. Right now the minimum wait time to voicemail I can set is 1 minute or 12-14 rings.

I have to agree with the dissatisfaction.  I recently signed up with ring central and am on my 30 day trial.  The idea was to be able to ring multiple phones when someone called in so they had a better chance of reaching a live person.  If the wait time is this long before getting to voice mail, it defeats the entire purpose of getting the program and I will more then likely cancel the service if it stays at 1 minute.  No one will wait that long to get a voice mail!
