For Ring Central Meetings, many of our members call in from phone lines and not from the app.  As such all this is displayed is the phone number.  To know who is on the call, I need to have a separate look up list of the phone numbers to map to the owners.  It would be great if RC could allow the admin to create a look-up list of KNOWN user phone numbers such that when someone calls in, instead of seeing a phone number, the display could pick up the text from the KNOWN user number list, that is associated with that phone number and that is what get's displayed.  So instead of seeing "14085551212", in would see "Bob's Cell"

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Associate an address book with Ring Central Rooms.

Hello,

I have a US based Ring Central account and the company I work for is a railroad construction company. We have at least 2 weekly meetings and use the Ring Central Rooms application. Most of our users call in and we like to see who all called in so we know who is on the call. The problem is the list of participants only shows people's phone numbers and not their names. I looked around to see if there was a way to link an address book to the room but I could not find a way to do so. I messaged with technical support and they are not aware of this feature either. The benefit of having the names displayed would make it much easier for the admin of the meeting to see who has joined easily. Many times, we have to figure out who's phone# is who's. If we could link a contact list or address book to the room or have the system use the host's address book, then we would be able to see the names of the people calling in and make it much easier to identify who is on the call and to make sure we have everyone accounted for. We currently have about 14 lines but have about 25 employees who call into our meetings on a weekly basis. I think this feature would help a lot people who hold internal meetings to see who is on the call as opposed to just seeing a phone number and trying to figure out who it is.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Adam
