Mobile App Transfer Calls

When you receive a call on the mobile app from a locked phone, you receive an overlay that stays active as long as the call does.  From this overlay, you can hold a call, transfer a call, park a call, etc.  Many of these features work perfectly.  However, when you attempt to transfer a call, you must unlock your phone before you can continue.  Is there not a way to access the contacts when doing a transfer from a locked phone without having to unlock the phone first?
