1.US Account

2. Large National Corporation with independent offices nationwide, but one giant account for the entire company.

3.Be able to set up Dial-By-Name group directories for each location in a large corporate account so when people type in 3-4 digits they only get the names of employees AT THAT LOCATION who may match that name.

4. We have 56 users in Minnesota. Well over 1000 users nationwide. When someone uses dial-by-name to get to my name (which starts with S-H-A), they dial 7-4-2. Then they have to listen to the name and extension for EVERY EMPLOYEE in the entire directory for the 1000+ employees whose names start with RIC or SHA until they get to mine. You can't even hit '2' to go to the next one until the recording completes stating the entire name and 6 digit extension. Very frustrating for us and our customers. If we could set each location with its own dial-by-name group, we would eliminate this frustration and time-waster.

5. Obvious - less time wasted, confusion and increased ease of use for customers

6. N/A

7. 1000+ and growing as each office migrates to RingCentral.

You'd think you'd be able to send the companies independent main numbers to separate directories, but i haven't come across that problem first hand. Maybe this is the starting point for RC to allow creation of separate directories or custom directories for multiple locations or departments within 1 company office even.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Dial-by-Name Directory by Site for Multi-Site Companies.

We have multi-site enabled and 3 different sites in three different countries (Canada, US, and Mexico). Each site has their own main line that goes to an IVR. The dial-by-name directory is available in each site's IVR. It would be very beneficial when I called a particular site and got the dial-by-name directory, that I only heard the names of users of that site.
