I need to be able to initiate a page from a limited extension to a paging group.  We need no other full line features like VM...only need to be able to initiate a page.

Can't do it - by design of the RC engineers.

BTW, hope this helps - here are my "can and cannots" for the limited extension that I found through real-life testing:

·         Cannot use a Softphone, Desktop App or Mobile App

·         No mailbox – after 20 second default timer expires (unanswered) callers hear the default unavailable greeting: "I'm sorry. No one is available to take your call. Thank you for calling. Goodbye!"

·         No Call Handling programming section

·         Cannot Forward to other users and/or groups or unconditionally

·         No Ringtones – callers hear MOH music for 20 seconds

·         Cannot be added to other user’s Favorites

·         Cannot Page from a Limited Extension – but can be in Page Group

·         Cannot Intercom to or from a Limited Extension

·         Cannot receive or send e-faxes

·         No presence capabilities

·         Cannot be in Park Groups

·         Cannot Automatically Record calls

·         Cannot “swap” Limited Extension device (since they don’t appear in Phones & Devices)

·         Cannot be used for traditional fax machines.

On the last item in your list, I have had some success using a limited extension with fax adapters, but I think I will avoid it from now on, as it seems probable the limited extensions default to a codec that isn't optimized for fax.

Appreciate the update.  Glad to know if, in a pinch, the LE could be used for fax - but agree, would not recommend.
