Need to move softphone page layout in Salesforce Classic left column

We have set up Ring Central in our Salesforce org. The softphone page layout currently appears at the top of the left column. We need a way to move that down in the column order. It is pushing other options, especially our "Recent Items", too far down the page. For some of our users, the "Recent Items" list is more important than the soft phone option. Ring Central Support said this feature is currently not available.
