Not getting Limit Reached when logging in with a softphone phone only extension

We have many travelers that only have softphones and no physical phone. Recently I have noticed one extension that can log in to 2 computers and authorize both computers under Phones and Numbers, Phones. I actually see 2 softphones. I thought that RingCentral only allowed 1 Softphone per extension. Per Article 10365. Support is telling me that since this extension does not have a physical phone they can log into 2 RingCentral phone apps and authorize on both. I never heard of that before and i don't think it worked that way until recently. This is a big problem for our CTI integration also. We were told that each extension could only log into one computer. So now when our users try to use the second softphone ( because they do not know how to de-authorize) the get kicked out of our hosted CRM. Is this the correct behavior? Are users really able to authorize on 2 computers if they only have a softphone with a digital line?

Thanks Andrew, We have been using RingCentral for 3+ years and i don't know how we did not run into this before. I added a comment to the Knowledge article so they can update with the correct information and let users know that they can be authorized on 2 computers when they only have a digital line.
