On-Call emails forwarded to my ring central # as an SMS

My carrier At&t currently allows me to set up a rule in my corporate outlook that forwards email sent to a specific on-call email to my phone as an SMS. This is VERY useful for those in professions where being on-call is a need. I simply have a rule that says if an email is received by oncall@xyz.com, forward that to phone#@mms.att.net -- I get that email as an SMS so I am instantly aware of any burning fires. I have been advised this option is not available with Ring Central but this would be very useful if we could set up a rule to forward messages the same way. At the very least, it would enable me to retire my carrier's service and go all in with RC. Is this something which can be developed for customer use? Something like phone#@mms.ringcentral.com or similar. I'm currently on the US premium plan.

This can be accomplished using the RingCentral API, where you can custom build an app to do anything you want with the RingCentral services, including sending yourself a text.

We have already built a RingCentral app that does a similar function to what you are asking.  I'll post back here when we have a date that we will be releasing our app as public (currently it is private for our users only while we are testing).  Our app does a bit more than what you are asking.  Our app monitors several different email accounts, forwards the partial or entire email contents as a text message to a single or multiple recipients (RingCentral numbers and / or personal mobile numbers).  It also monitors incoming text messages sent to our main company number and if any key words are in the text (eg. oncall, support, emergency, help,...) then these text messages are relayed to specific employee numbers.

Thanks, Michel. Would be great to see your app in action once released. A natively developed option would also be great to see for simple needs like mine. I would imagine that it shouldn't be very hard to set up. I'm sure there are others needing this without the resources to develop a customized solution.
