Desktop App: add display for Queue name

On the RingCentral soft phone for desktop (version 6.9.2) Please add a feature to display Queue name on the desktop phone and also announce the queue name on all incoming queue calls. Right now there is no way to know where the call is coming from and what queue selection the caller made. thie is not good if your in more than one queue. Please add soon it only announces on forwarded number not softphone.

Completely agree, this used to be a function on the old soft phone but was taken away.  We really need this function as our advisors need to know what script to prepare when taking a call.  When they are in 6 groups having to work out the group by number is not very convenient.

We've added the feature in our 7.0 release, which is in the process of being rolled out. You should be see an upgrade option in the next week or so.

the old softphone, will display where the call was made to,  your extension, a call queue or group.  In that way you would know,  instead of the only setting available to have a prompt tell you when you pick up the call. The new one does not display it any longer.  It will be great to have that feature back.

Also if it could be added to the mobile app.

How can I display the queue name for incoming calls?  I would like to use a different script based on the inbound queue and would like to display the queue name when an agent receives a call.

i agree this feature is needed and i don't see it in the 7.0 or later versions.  We need to display the extension name, as we use virtual extensions and not call queues.  If it is there, how do you do it?  If not, this needs to be added.  We have a call center.  and while you can display the number, it is easier to have the word "Columbus Extension" as it is very hectic in our call center and mistakes are being made because they misread the number.
