Please add another option for operator extension of 0. Please add No action or Disconnect. We are a real estate company and many agents are too lazy to listen to options and they press 0 to get a quick answer and we can't help them. This will force them to pick an option that is given.

Christy - you can set your operator to a call queue where the queue can play another announcement asking the caller to select their option.

How do I do that?  The only choices it gives me is people's extension.

When someone presses zero when they reach my IVR, it replays the menu options, is yours not the same?

@Rob - they would have to configure it that way.

@Chirsty - Are you using an IVR? You don't have to...I just want to know which setting you are currently using?

Then you probably have Single Level then - you would know if you have had Multilevel IVR...   :-)

If you are using Single Level (not IVR)

1) Set operator to a queue extension.

2) Set Queue to have a Greeting - You can record the announcement twice or so - so that it repeats to the caller.

When I go to Auto Receptionist and then Operator Extension, it just gives me a list of people's extension to chose from.  That's the only choice.

Chirsty - you also have queue choices in there, but they are mixed in b/c they are in Alphabetical order.  Keep scrolling down, or just type in the name of the queue for faster results.

Okay, so do I just create a call queue that tells them they have to pick something?  All my call queues go to someone and I'm tired of dealing with lazy people that just pressed 0 because they were too lazy to wait 15 more seconds for the right person.

You could make a 'virtual' or message only extension and send them there with a short recording or just dead and air and disconnect..

Do you still need assistance with this?
