I have a lot of user's requesting the ability to extend their desktop when sharing their screen in RingCentral Meetings instead of duplicating their screen. This would give them the ability to have a presentation on the screen while still being able to see/take notes on their laptops. I would love to see this come to a future update to RingCentral Meetings.

Hey Gregory,

Have your users looked into Sharing specific applications while on their laptop? Instead of their screen?

Hi Saadet,

While that would solve some cases it is not a true solution. For things like trying to run a presentation on one screen while keeping your notes up on your laptop, this does not work.

The biggest pain point we have with this is when displaying presentations during a meeting. We have an ask to have the ability to have the presentation up in the meeting and the presentation notes displayed on the user's laptop monitor. If you are sitting at a desk giving a remote presentation and have multiple monitors this is fine, it'll work no problem.

However, if you are using a conference room powered by RingCentral Rooms then you run into an issue. If you connect to the conference room to share the presentation with those both locally and remote, you lose the ability to have the notes up on your screen. Using the ability to share just an application is a great solution when you have a multiple monitor set-up, but it is a hinderance when you are operating solely off of a laptop monitor.
