outlook contacts no longer sync with desktop app

question: my outlook contacts were syncronized with my desk top application until the last upgrade, now they have gone again. On the settings contact panel the options for outlook is faded (cannot access) , it says to install outlook to complete the integration but outlook is installed. Canada, Windows 8.

Hi Mary!

It’s a common problem after the last upgrade. Microsoft support advices to check the ost file for inconsistencies (read more info https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2526306/synchronization-problems-occur-in-outlook-and-in-outlook-web-app). But I also recommend you to think over using a 3-rd party tool for Outlook syncing. I am using AkrutoSync and I’m very satisfied with it.
