We can import csv files into personal contacts but we cannot do it into groups. If this feature was available it would help us greatly by not making manual mistakes.
AMEN Matt Thomas!!!! I have been complaining about this since day one. I have over 20k contacts, It would be nice to have my CV file for each group (By region) directly into Ring Central creating a group RIGHT from that CV file. Instead you have to add each individual contact. Took me a month to add just 100 contacts.
I would imagine it would be easy to add a field to the Contacts, named "Group" and when you import from csv file, you have that field "Group" filled in with the Contact Group Name. Could even be that this field already exists (maybe just hidden from view). Based on my database knowledge, this seems like a quick fix. Has there been any progress on this issue? I am a new customer and trying to import contacts by region directly into a group, vs. selecting each of them individually as Matt Thomas mentioned. Matt, any workarounds or updates on this issue?
What about with InContact, are you able to have a central upload or repository for a group or is it still limited to the Ring Central software. We have a call center and it would be convenient vs loading and changing all contacts on 30+ people for 2k customers, especially if we are all using the same contact information.
Yes importing into a group is essential for me, without this feature this does not make sense, I would have to print a hard copy and search through the names to see which is in another group , after a few uploads I would have a table full of papers to search through. this makes this program impractical. This is probably the most important feature to fix, without it I am going elsewhere.
